About the artist.

Donna Muller

Donna Muller, and her husband Gerald, lived in Saskatchewan for most of their lives, except for an adventurous 10 years, 2007-2017, when they lived on the ocean near Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia.

Donna’s exposure to the arts and painting was initiated in the late 70’s, with the first class she took, being taught by Rigmor Clark, the founding member of the Thickwood Hills Studio Trail.

In Nova Scotia with her children and work no longer the top priority, Donna’s creativity was rejuvenated by attending plein air events, and joining the Peggy’s Cove Festival of the Arts.

In 2015 Gerald built her a gallery in their yard to sell her art. The gallery attracted tourists travelling from Halifax to Peggy’s Cove.  It was advertized with a provincial sign, listed in the Doers and Dreamers tourism book, and on Nova Scotia’s tourism website. Donna was painting mainly the Nova Scotia landscapes and would occasionally paint a holiday landscape painting for herself.

In July of 2017, Donna and Gerald decided to move back to Saskatchewan and Donna’s Gallery was set up in a room in their home at Buena Vista, Saskatchewan. Then, in August of 2020, they decided to move back to their roots and purchased some farmland on the South shore of Fur Lake, in the RM of Canwood, near Mont Nebo.

Donna’s paintings beautifully express her love of the land, water and nature from coast to coast, and beyond. She welcomes commission work, and will capture a particular memory or feeling for you, with oils or acrylics on canvas.
