Roberta Hoiness

Artist Statement

Rooted in the Canadian prairies, I create art & pottery that reflect quiet landscapes and a sense of calm. My work features natural textures, soft lines and a muted prairie palette. I work slowly & intentionally with quiet gratitude for the land & places that make us feel at home.

Bio

Roberta is a prairie girl who loves the understated beauty and big open skies of the Canadian prairies where she lives with her husband and three children. Following a career in Physical Therapy she transitioned to working with their family business and
as exploring art. She paints & creates pottery from her sunlit home studio in Saskatoon (or the deck at Echo Bay!). Roberta offers original paintings, fine art prints, and handmade pottery.

I acknowledge and am grateful to live & create on Treaty Six Territory (the traditional lands of the Cree, Dakota, Lakota, Nakota, Saulteaux, Dené) and homeland of the Metis People.
